FLOATING POND HIPPO - 16" Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I will agree with the previous poster, it is quite "non chalant". As if it's sitting there in your private marsh land area waiting to spring... waiting to become an Open Mouth Hippo Head!
But, between the Open Mouth and Close Mouth, I still recommend the Open Mouth for pure bang for your buck.

(More customer reviews)Not a bad idea. Mother in law has a good size pond that has turned into a jungle, so these fit in fine.
Not much more to say but they look good.

(More customer reviews)The lights work great!!
I just wish they were clearer in their description, that you need the low voltage transformer to make them work and these do not come with it!
It's an extra $[30] bucks!!!

Smart Garden Infinity 1650 gph Magnetic Drive In-Line/Submersible Pump with 16-Foot Cable Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This pump has been working for a year now in my 2500 gallon fish pond and it is still working very well even with all of the battles I am having with string algea. I have to take the pump out of the pond every 2-3 weeks, take it apart and get all the string algea out of it that is caught everywhere inside. Even with all of this stuff clogging up the pump every so often, it forces water through without problems. I am really hoping this pump lasts for at least 5-10 years before needing to be replaced. I really like it.

Cherub Water Fountain Review

(More customer reviews)I was very pleasently surprised with my fountain, it reminds you of the old park fountains, the water sound is soothing and unlike fountains in the past you can actually hear the water. It is really very charming and well made.

Smart Solar 20622R01 Country Gardens Solar Birdbath Fountain, Gray Weathered Stone Finish Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Recently purchased the smart solar country gardens birdbath, 20622R01, as a gift. The birdbath is OK, but the fountain is junk. Works only in extremely bright direct sunlight, and then just barely makes a splash. The birds are laughing, but I'm not!
It also arrived in it's original box, so the gift checkbox is a waste of time.
One month later, revise this review to say the finish is coming off the birdbath now, so the whole thing is junk.

Solar Panel Rock w/ 1.2W Submersible Waterfall Pump Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is a dorky little pump that only works when the sun is shining directly on the solar panel. It has no battery to charge. It also isn't very powerful and only spits out a foot high spray of water. Definitely not worth the money.

Unique Arts Small Solar Pump Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This product does not work. It took approximately 10 minutes for it to start working. Once a fountain piece was connected it stopped working completely. I could get it to work for a very short time if I did not connect the fountain piece tightly - but if you did that you could never let go of the tube or it would fall off. The pump ran for a total of 4 1/2 minutes and then I could never get it to work again.
I contacted the company and they were great about returning it and I did receive a credit.

Nature's Foundry ZSK-702 Solar Pump Kit Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This thing is weak. When they say 14 inches, they must be talking about all the extensions that come in the kit, because the water is not going that high! it barely trickles out in full sun. Take into account a passing cloud and this thing shuts down completely. I was going to return it but they wouldn't take it back because i did not keep the baggie that the fittings came in or the plastic sheet they had over the solar panel. I think one star is too high of a rating.

8 Watt Solar Powered Water Pump With Battery And Control Box Timer Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)On the plus side it does pump, it is solar powered, and it will retain a charge.
On the other hand we chose an 8 watt pump for the higher water lift. Our fountain has a three foot lift and even on full power this pump sends water no more than an inch into the air. Also it does need FULL sun to charge. Ours sometimes stops - in Texas, in the summer, on a bright day. The instructions were limited, but enough to set it up. The memory function is good, and the timer does give four options though none of them are the 5-6 hours we would have preferred. The suction pads to keep it level in the water are an absolute joke and the pump itself is too big to fit where we wanted.
We will keep it and use it because it does what we need - providing a ripple rather than a jet - but if your water feature is the center point of your garden and you want to create a spectacle then this pump might not be good enough to do that.

Smart Garden Infinity 600 gph Magnetic Drive In-Line/Submersible Pump with 16-Foot Cable Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Comes with an assortment of plastic fountain attachments and the suction cup feet are a nice touch. The housing shown in the front view of the picture, with the dial and the filter slots for water intake, is used when you wish to draw water from the same pond as the pump. This pump cover can be replaced with the included intake nozzle that can be attached to a tube so you can draw water from another pond for a waterfall setup.

Instapark® LARGE SOLAR POWER POND WATER PUMP 5 WATTS Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Overall this is not a bad product, if used in the right environment. The solar panel only produces power under direct and strong sunlight. The product would work well in the climate zones of Arizona, Texas, Florida -most of the time. If the aera is even slightly shaded or used anywhere sunlight can be obscured by clouds for any length of time, you will be frustraded by this product. Instead purchase one with the battery pack, it would be worth the extra 20 bucks to have it work when you want it to, and not simlpy when conditions are perfect.

Add a fountain to your birdbath, pond, or any remote area of your landscape without running electricity with this solar-powered water pump from Newport Solar. The powerful, compact pump is easy to set up: just place the solar pump in your pond, fountain, or birdbath, fill with water, and place the solar panel in the sun. The pump will harness the sun's rays to provide a relaxing gurgle in the middle of your water feature. The 5-watt solar panel produces up to 360 liters per hour of water flow, with five different fountainheads providing a diverse waterfall design. Other details include a 6-volt DC pump voltage, a water lift height of 40 inches, an integrated filter, a 15-foot cable, and an aluminum bracket for the panel. The solar panel itself measures 18 by 12 inches.

Smart Solar/Smart Solar 22300R01 Solar Powered Ceramic Frog Water Feature. Green Glazed Ceramic Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I was looking for a small fountain to put in my "relaxation garden" outside, but I didn't really want to have to run electricity out there. I saw this fountain and thought it would be the perfect solution.
The fountain arrived with no broken pieces and was easy to assemble. I set it up in my garden and it worked great... until the sun went behind a cloud. The description does not make it clear that this does not have any kind of reserve battery power; it is not like a solar powered light that stores the solar energy all day in a battery pack so that it can run at night. This fountain only works when the sun is directly shining on the solar panel. So this means that the fountain will not run if it is cloudy or after the sun sets, which is too bad because the evening is one my favorite times to be outside. I wish it at least had enough of a storage capacity to run for a few minutes without the sun, such as if the sun were to briefly go behind a cloud. Also, it says it includes an AC adapter for indoor use, but I did not receive one of those. I will be contacting the company about that.
It seems like it may be a little overpriced, but then again, there aren't many things like this, so maybe the company has a corner on the market.
All in all, this is a nice little fountain when the sun is shining, so I gave it 4 stars because of that. However, be prepared for its limitations.
