ORE Intl K334 Indoor Outdoor Pyramid Tiered Fountain, 39-Inch Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I purchased this fountain a couple months ago for use in our backyard garden. I know outdoor fountains do not last more than a couple years, so I really did not want to spend a ton of money. After an extensive search I decided to buy the Pyramid tiered fountain, even though I thought the price was a bit high. But it had a very nice look and inexpensive fountains with built in lighting are hard to find. Unfortunatley, this was a total waste of money. First, after leveling the ground and placing a slate walking stone down, the fountain was not level because it was not manufactured level, so making the ground level was a waste. This is important because water is supposed to run down all 4 sides and no amount of shimming has allowed the water to run down more than 2 sides at a time. Then within a couple weeks, the top 3 tiers of lights stopped working. I suspect that there is an exposed wire inside the fountain but it is virtually impossible to get inside to see and work. The final straw was a couple days ago, one of the tiers cracked and developed a small hole. It may look sunstantial, but it is paper thin. This was not subjected to an impact or drop, so it is obviously a manufacturing issue. A total waste of $400, as it will be in the trash by the end of summer and once again i will be forced to search for a replacement. Absolute piece of garbage and ORE should be ashamed to charge that much for this trash. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Solar Powered Three Frog Bird Bath Fountain Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This birdbath/solar fountain was very easy to put together and looks really beautiful - the stones that came with it which sit inside are a nice touch. The pump started chugging shortly after I placed it outside, even on this overcast afternoon with no sun in sight, and the stream is an even, pleasant flow that is perfect for attracting birds and not scaring them away. The pump regulates itself automatically, flowing and stopping, as sunlight is available. The fountain is made of resin but looks like real bronze. The only reason I give it 4 our of 5 stars is due to the price - for resin (instead of actual bronze) it should have been $100 absolute max, not $150 I paid for it. But from all the fountains I saw, I liked this the best and the ones akin to this one were all similarly expensive. I will post an update if the pump gives out too soon or any other problems surface - but so far so good, and it really does look gorgeous.

Wishing Well Solar Water Fountain - Style 12841 Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This solar birdbath fountain is exactly what it claims to be. It fits in with my landscape beautifully and the solar panel is sensitive so that a minimal amount of sunlight activates it. It has an AC backup but I do not use it since my fountain is out in my garden. AC works well. It is unobtrusive and I recommend everyone to purchase it if they want to save $$$ and have an Eco-friendly, bird-happy fountain.

Outdoor Birdbath Solar Fountain Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I am so happy with this Solar Fountain, it is the first solar powered fountain I have purchased. Most people comment negatively on the fact it needs direct sunlight to work, but I expected that to be the case as there is not a battery back up. If you live in a predominantly cloudy climate then the fountain might disappoint, IT NEEDS DIRECT SUNLIGHT TO WORK. However I live in Florida so it works great for me. The thing that made me write the review, a year later I might add, is that I recently went away for four days and I forgot to emty the birdbath and remove the pump...oops! I thought for sure I had cooked it, I filled it and held my breath, I worried for nothing...here I sit a month later and it is still going strong. The birds and cats and even the bees drink out of it and its a great addition to our garden. I would reccomend this product and if I had burned out the pump I would have purchased this product again.

Smart Solar 24260RM1 Oiled Bronze Finish Chatsworth 2-Tier Solar-On-Demand Fountain Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I will not recommend this product to anybody because of the following reasons:
1. I believe that this product is overpriced compared to the non-solar powered fountains available in most hardware or garden stores - this fountain is very light, unstable and not robust at all for outdoor use.
2. The solar pump is totally under powered that gives only a trickle of water - not much of a fountain.
3. Poorly constructed.
4. The solar pump should have back-up power or should be charging a battery to have more continuous operation.
5. I should have bought a garden fountain from a hardware or garden store with electric powered motor as a much lower price and then buy a solar-powered pump with charging capability - the net result will be a more robust construction and with better functioning pump.
6. I wish I can return this back to the vendor and do item 4 above.

Universal Solar Fountain Insert (Black) (9"W x 2.5"H x 9"D) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We had purchased about 5 years ago, a solar fountain. Over the last year, the old solar plate and motor where out of commission. I was able to extract the motor and panel from this unit and install it (near exact fit) and it is working great. The motor is adjustable as to output and is much stronger than the original. We live in Arizona, so no problem with solar power exclusively. For this unit, if there is no sun, there is no battery back up, but it works just fine. Has a really robust flow.. I just use it without any inserts, so it shoots up a straight stream of water, at just under full power, it is a thick stream that goes up a good 4-6 inches. A great price and as a unit in and of itself.. would make a very nice addition to any bird water type fountain/ bird bath - adding a nice sound and look of the water streaming. The birds just love it as well. Highly recommended in a very sunny area. If you are in the mid-west or east, you likely want to get one with a battery back up for more sustained flow through the day. Also a vary fair price. The seller, Intrepid Business Solutions, shipped same day as ordered and it arrived, with standard shipping from Florida to Arizona in a short 3 days or so. Very pleased.

Smart Solar 23931R01 Ceramic Solar Cascading Fountain, Glazed Green Bamboo Design Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)It was hard to tell from the photographs the actual proportions of the fountain, so I worried it would be too tiny for what I wanted. It isn't. It is absolutely beautiful and I absolutely LOVE it. The ceramics are well-made and the fountain works beautifully. Make sure the connection between the pump and the solar panel is firmly in place - I didn't initially and thought something might be wrong with it. Assembly is a breeze and it was up and going in no time. Heavy cloud cover blocks the sun from the solar panel and stops the flow, but nothing else has slowed it down. I knew that I wanted solar power to prevent having to use a power cord, so this was perfect for me. The panel doesn't store power (no battery assembly) so on overcast days it won't be running, but I am fine with that. The ability to avoid a cord was my primary goal. I didn't think to check about the battery/ability to store solar power. Even knowing that now, I would buy this fountain again without hesitation. The price made me try it - the beauty and quality make me glad I did. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this fountain to anyone.

Kenroy Home Costa Brava 46-Inch 56-Pound High Outdoor Fountain Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This item was on backorder for about 2 months. When it finally arrived, it was in a large box that was quite heavy (2-person type). The box was damaged in several places, but everything inside was fine. However, several key components were missing - namely the pump, lights & transformer. Rather than returning the entire thing to Amazon, I contacted the mfg (by phone) and they agreed to ship me everything at no cost. The parts arrived 2 weeks later (surprising since the rep said everything was in stock & they would be shipped out the next business day). Now comes assembly, which was pretty straight forward except when it came to connecting the hose to the pump. The hose was too short and it ended up being a 2 person job (one holding the upper tiers while the other attached the hose to the pump). Another problem was the top tier was noticably crooked. I tried to re-seat it several times but it was obviously a mfg defect. I ended up turning the fountain in such a way that it was not as noticable. I then filled it with water & plugged it in. Everything appeared to be OK and I let it run overnight. The next day I noticed another defect - water was leaking somewhere between the bottom tier and pedestal. I verified everything was seated properly & filled it with more water. That's when I noticed a slow leak trickling out onto my patio. That was the last straw. I disassembled everything, boxed it up & sent it back to Amazon. I have to mention one other thing about this fountain that I really didn't like - the fact that the lights stay on all the time. The mfg should have put the lights on a separate transformer so they could be controlled independendly from the pump. I prefer to keep the pump running all the time and turn the lights on for only about 6 hours at night. The fountain looks great, but it was a major dissapointment overall - especially when it cost nearly $400! I would not recommend it to anyone until they fix the problems and separate the pump from the lights.

Smart Solar 21372R01 Ceramic Solar Koi Fountain, Blue Glazed Finish Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is actually extremely small (and rather lightweight), it looks much bigger in the picture. Also, Amazon does not ship it in a separate box, it ships in the manufacturer's own box which is a little annoying because UPS is not shy about banging things around. And for reasons that are unknown to me, Amazon has stopped sending out paper receipts on most of their items. This did not come with a receipt and it was not the first order that I have received recently that came without one so this seems to be a new trend for them. Anyway it works fine, just add the water, make sure it is in a super sunny place and once it gets enough solar energy it will start to work. On dark or rainy days it will not work. This time of year these items go quickly so I was really glad to get it at this price from Amazon. And even if it does say 2-4 weeks until delivery don't worry, it almost always comes back in stock within a few days. I keep this outside in the backyard by my pool and it looks very nice. The ceramic does not appear to be of very high-quality, but at this price what can you expect. Now if I can just find that solar powered self-cleaning Jetsons kitchen that everyone's talking about.
