Cherub Garden Fountain Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This fountain is pretty, and the sound of the water is tranquil. However, the fountain leaks a small amount of water, and it doesn't have to be in use for it to leak. It's the second resin-type fountain my wife and I have bought recently, and both fountains leak. I'm assuming it's because resin doesn't contain water very well. This fountain is designed to use outdoors, but my wife and I wanted to try to use it indoors on a tile floor. It looks and sounds great, but every time we move it to clean under it, there's a small puddle of water under the pedestal base. However, it's not enough water to make us want to put the fountain outdoors--yet. Also, when we have guests over, they always comment on how well they like the fountain and how soothing it sounds.

Standing Designer Fountain Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Purchased 2 for backyard wedding reception. Worked fairly well, one had some trouble adjusting the spray so as to not spray out of the fountain. After the reception I planned to use them in the yard landscape. Living in a rainy area I didn't drain them and the first freeze broke both of them. I understand why it happened and was happy with the original use. It is not however for yards unless you live in a frost free zone.

Echo Valley 5105 Argos Solar Birdbath Fountain Blue & Greywash Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My husband bought this for me for my birthday recently. While it is very attractive, and the birds seem to like it... we are both disappointed that you only get 2-3 hours of "fountain time", even on a bright, sunny day. The ad says it needs direct sunlight, and it means DIRECT. The sun has to be directly overhead for the fountain to work. And this takes place for no more than a few hours a day. Also, it already has a crack in it, after only just a few days. (have no idea how it happened) And when you go to empty the dirty water out, it collects in the rim and it is almost impossible to empty it completely. For $200, I would have expected more. I really felt more sorry for my husband, because he was trying to buy the very best for me. Overall, I think this product needs improvement or the price needs to be lowered substantially. It is not worth the money he paid for it. I would not recommend it.
Dec.2009-update: This fountain quit working completely after only 1 season of use! I am very meticulous about how I care for things, so it was not due to any neglect on my part. This is just a very poor quality product... period. I do NOT recommend it for anyone.

Create a relaxing atmosphere in the garden, patio or balcony with this solar-powered birdbath and fountain from Echo Valley. The water in this solar powered fountain cascades into the bird bath basin and then down into a generously sized hidden water reservoir which also contains the pump assembly. From there, the pump recirculates the water back through the fountain again. Poly resin construction ensures optimal durability for years of attractive decor. Best of all, there's no hassling with batteries or electrical cords, and solar power means no wiring for easy setup. Solar cells conspicuously mounted in the fountain keep the fountain flowing by day. A classic column-style with a wide, shallow bowl makes this a great centerpiece for the garden, and adds a distinctive touch to any area that could use a dash of outdoor décor. For optimal performance, this fountain should be exposed fully to direct sunlight. The fountain measures 20-1/2 by 20-1/2 by 28-1/2 inches (l x w x h).

Playful Cherubs Fountain Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought this fountain in early summer 2008. I used it maybe 8 times. By the end of the summer the plastic hose inside the cherub structure (leading from the pump to the fountain opening) was plugged with algae. Even though the pump still works, the water won't come out because the plastic hose is plugged and THERE IS NO WAY TO GET TO IT!!! I tried everything I could think of including filling the plugged hose with vinegar and leaving it for several hours. Nothing works. Any fountain needs maintenance cleaning but there is no way to clean this one where it's most needed so my advice is not to purchase this fountain.

Beckett 7108910 Playful Cherubs Resin Fountain Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I originally bought this cute little cherub fountain at Home Depot, which no longer stocks these. For years, it has been the talk of my neighborhood. Couples walking pause to enjoy my tropical South Florida garden, and the beauty and sound of this fountain. Children stop, walk up to, and are exciting to see the cherubs. When I have the windows open, the sound of the water is so pleasant and soothing. I think I had this fountain for about 6 or 7 years before it faded and I accidentally broke it. This purchase was to replace it, and I'm delighted that it is still available. The seller shipped the fountain in a reasonable amount of time and it arrived in good condition. I highly recommend this wonderful fountain for your garden or patio.

Couple Figure Water Feature Home Garden Yard Fountain Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)You will be very disappointed as I was when the beat up carton and totally defective fountain arrived at my home a number of weeks ago. In addition, the manufacturer refused to issue me a refund and told me I had to take digital images and email the images to them. Ridiculous! I couldn't resend because of the condition of the carton, and I wasn't about to spend a dime on boxes, shipping fees, etc. In my frustration and disappointment, I put the broken pieces (many) back in the box and set it on the curb for trash pick-up.
I will NEVER do business again with this company. I'm shocked Amazon would allow such a shoddy merchant to sell their defective merchandise through them.

Kenroy Home Equinox Floor Fountain Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought this fountain a couple of years ago. Within the first few months all of the clips holding the lights had broken. By the end of the first season the lights had corroded and no longer worked. The fountain still looks O.K., thanks to my patching the side when it got damaged from being blown over from the wind, repainting it each summer and storing it indoors seven months of the year. The lghts added a lot for me and I am disappointed that they lasted such a short time. I wrote to the manufacturer several times to see about buying a replacement light string but they never responded. So, it looks great from a distance in the daytime, but is not what I thought I was buying. I will grudgingly look for a replacement fountain.

Solar Powered Three Frog Bird Bath Fountain Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This birdbath/solar fountain was very easy to put together and looks really beautiful - the stones that came with it which sit inside are a nice touch. The pump started chugging shortly after I placed it outside, even on this overcast afternoon with no sun in sight, and the stream is an even, pleasant flow that is perfect for attracting birds and not scaring them away. The pump regulates itself automatically, flowing and stopping, as sunlight is available. The fountain is made of resin but looks like real bronze. The only reason I give it 4 our of 5 stars is due to the price - for resin (instead of actual bronze) it should have been $100 absolute max, not $150 I paid for it. But from all the fountains I saw, I liked this the best and the ones akin to this one were all similarly expensive. I will post an update if the pump gives out too soon or any other problems surface - but so far so good, and it really does look gorgeous.

K&H 96-Ounce Thermal-Bowl Outdoor Pet Feeder, Blue Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I purchased this bowl for a feral cat colony (housed in a garage transformed into a strawbale "barn" for the kitties) and needed something that was sturdy enough to not be tipped over by a few of the cats who like to drink with their paws on the sides of the water bowl.
Living in Minnesota, a water bowl that would keep water from freezing is essential. In these parts the season known as "Fall" lasts approximately 12 hrs. The timeframe it goes from 78 to a daytime high of 38 the next day, with overnight lows in the 20's and 30's.
We've already had overnight lows (with windchill) in the low 20's and teens so I've had a chance to see how well the bowl would handle a dozen kitties as well as the cold temps.
Works like a charm. One day the water was frozen, I plugged in the bowl and no more frozen water the next day, and the weeks following.
If you have outdoor pets and cold overnight lows, this water bowl is what you need. Didn't seem to up my electric bill either which is nice.
Yes, I would recommend this item. Also, it took 1 week from time of ordering to arrive. I think they shipped the day after the order was processed, the only reason it took that long to arrive, was due to a weekend that fell a few days after I ordered.

Beckett 7129310 Catching Fish Fountain Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I owned this fountain for 2 years, it is rough surfaced and very hard to keep clean, gets really slimy even with enzymes. I took it in during the winter, but for some reason the fish cracked in half anyway. By the way I bought it for 1/2 the listed price at a home improvement store. I do not recommend it.

The Catching Fish Fountain by Beckett is a beautiful, artistic addition to any garden or landscape. The sound and sight of flowing water will attract wildlife to your yard or garden. This outdoor fountain is made from durable, lightweight resin and its detailed design features a little girl crouching on a landscaped ledge next to cattails. Her arms are outstretched and her hands are cupped to catch the fish leaping up out of the "pond" reservoir. The fish spits water into the fountain. The fountain has a handpainted, weather resistant finish in stone gray and includes a wet rotor pump, 6-foot cord, and adjustable water flow.

Couple Figure Water Feature Home Garden Yard Fountain Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The fountain is great. Actually a nice corner piece for the yard. The fountain gets 5 stars. Very nice for the price.
The service gets one star. The unit shipped a week later than originally quoted. Our delivery "window" was exceeded by four days. We bought the fountain because we wanted it for a party, and it should have arrived, as promised, by that date. Not even close.
However, if you like the fountain, by all means get it! My wife and I love it. Just don't believe the delivery dates.
UPDATE: It's now the end of 2008 and I can give a better assessment
of the fountain. Still happy with the fountain, but the liner coating on the inside peels off. So you have the option of recoating. Still, a nice fountain.

3 Tier Acorn Water Fountain Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This fountain has the most graceful design of all the fountains I have seen while shopping around. I just had to have it. It's also the perfect size for my garden because I have a grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes right beside it and I don't want the fountain to outstage the grotto. This fountain's alabasterite color matches the color of the Virgin's statue.
This fountain is popular with birds, cats (who step on my flower pots to reach for the water)and my little granddaughter whenever she visits. Therefore, I keep it clean and replace the water everyday. I do not use anti-algae for fear that the water might become toxic.
Once I used a brush to take off some algae deposits and the acorn finial just fell apart in my hand. I realized how delicate it was - the wall so thin, you'd think it's made of porcelain. But my son put it back together using bathroom grout and sealed it with Krazy glue. It's working again, just as beautifully.
I love this fountain.
