It fits in with my landscape beautifully and the solar panel is sensitive so that a minimal amount of sunlight activates it. It has an AC backup but I do not use it since my fountain is out in my garden. AC works well. It is unobtrusive and I recommend everyone to purchase it if they want to save $$$ and have an Eco-friendly, bird-happy fountain.
