(More customer reviews)I am so happy with this Solar Fountain, it is the first solar powered fountain I have purchased. Most people comment negatively on the fact it needs direct sunlight to work, but I expected that to be the case as there is not a battery back up. If you live in a predominantly cloudy climate then the fountain might disappoint, IT NEEDS DIRECT SUNLIGHT TO WORK. However I live in Florida so it works great for me. The thing that made me write the review, a year later I might add, is that I recently went away for four days and I forgot to emty the birdbath and remove the pump...oops! I thought for sure I had cooked it, I filled it and held my breath, I worried for nothing...here I sit a month later and it is still going strong. The birds and cats and even the bees drink out of it and its a great addition to our garden. I would reccomend this product and if I had burned out the pump I would have purchased this product again.
