(More customer reviews)If your pond spends enough of the day in full, straight-overhead sunlight, this fountain is wonderful. I incorrectly thought that there might be some functioning in leaf-dappled sunlight, or in sunlight that strikes the water's surface from an angle in the morning. This is NOT the case. The fountain does not run at all unless it is being exposed to very strong, direct sunlight.
