It is such a delight to have the tranquil sound of trickling water in our home throughout the day and the best sound to fall asleep to at night. (Our family can hear the soft sounds of water from our living room into our bedrooms.) You also get the benefit of it being a humidifier in the winter time! It's over 6 feet tall so it's an impressive piece and our fountain is my favorite thing in our living room! It really completes the room in a unique way and visiting friends enjoy it as well.
I also had an experience with customer service at BluWorld in the first days I owned it and they are fantastic! The pump was very noisy and did turn out to be defective. The customer service rep responded immediately by phone and emails and they sent me a new pump at no charge right away. The new pump works perfectly and is very quiet. I was thrilled with the service I received.
Some things I learned about fountain pumps just as an FYI: Run it 24/7. It will actually save the life of your pump to run it all the time. This also means you get to enjoy the water sounds all the time. IF it starts making weird noises, unplug and plug it back in a couple times and it will clear it. In four months, I've only had it do that a couple times and it was just a strange little squeak sound near the top. Second, like a plant, you have to "water" your fountain every couple days or so ensuring the water level stays above the pump or you'll burn up your pump. I don't mind this at all because the fountain acts as a great humidifier in our home. Lastly, although you don't have to, I do use filtered water in our fountain just because we do have very hard water and this helps keep the pump clean.
