is colored lighting as it rotates. Unfortunately when I unpacked it the hands
in the middle broke, so be careful when unpacking it. It still works and serves
its purpose for me however. I have it on a table under a covered patio with
tea candles around it...makes a nice center piece.

(More customer reviews)I had purchased a smaller, made from plastic self filling water bowl for more money at the beginning of the summer. It lasted 24hrs before the fill valves went bad. Two weeks later my Labs had destroyed it.
This bowl is so heavy duty that in order to drill a hole through it to secure it to my deck, I broke a drill bit. I am happy to say that despite my Labs best efforts to destroy this bowl (they try to play with it) it is going strong, fills like a champ, turns off when it is supposed to and carries a ton of water.
I am very satisfied. If need be, I would defiantly purchase another.

The only reason that it gets 4 stars instead of five is because not all of the water flows back into the bottle once the dog is done. Beckett 7091510 130gph Fountain Pump Review

(More customer reviews)Beckett seems to build a much better fountain pump than the others that I've tried. We have an outdoor fountain that can be hard on pumps (the wide temperature changes in Texas and the debris accumulation). The previous Beckett pump lasted far longer (I'd guess at least 5 years) than any of the other brands that we've tried.
I ordered another brand, and it wouldn't work after I installed it, so I had to return it. Thankfully, Amazon has a "no hassle" return process, but I wish I hadn't disassembled the fountain, run the wiring, reassembled, leveled, and refilled with water -- only to discover it wouldn't work. Then I had to disassemble again. Cement fountain pieces are heavy and bulky, in case you wondered. I bought another similar pump (different brand) from Home Depot and tested it in a bucket of water first, and had to return that one since it would only hum and not pump.
Finally, I've got a pump that works and have learned to stick with Beckett. I've also learned to pre-test the pumps before installing. The only problem I've found with this pump is that Amazon advertises a 15 foot power cord (the same length as my previous Beckett cord), but only a 6 foot cord was provided. I'll have to attach and weatherproof an extension to reach the power outlet. If this pump lasts as long as the previous Beckett, we'll be very satisfied.

The pump might sound loud when you first set it up, but after it is run the first time it is very quite. We put sand and a few seashells around it and it has become the focal point of the room. Game 3567 Mini Underwater Light Show and Fountain Review

(More customer reviews)I have a 20 foot diameter above ground pool with a 3 and 1/2 foot depth. The light show is actually pretty cool. It does a variety of blinking and steady colored lights, constantly changing colors. The fountain changes colors along with the underwater light show. It is actually a neat pool accessory when it is completely dark outside. The down side is that it only lights up an area of around 6 feet in diameter. The fountain pump tends to run down as any battery powered toy does and the fountain shrinks in size as time passes by. You have to turn the power off every 10 minutes or so and this rejuvenates the pump. The fountain spray rises as high as two feet or higher, but then shrinks to only 6 inches after about 10 minutes or so. You need to make sure the battery compartment cover is properly seated in the grooves on the fountain light, and the compartment ring is tightened properly. Otherwise you may have water enter the compartment and damage the batteries and the inner electronics. I got my light show and fountain at a reduced price, so didn't mind paying what I paid. Would recommend if you have a pool my size or larger that you get 2 or 3 of these if you really want to spice things up in the pool.

Yes, the jar you receive is smaller than what the photo appears to be. However, if you search for other sellers, they're all selling the 7 oz. size. That's the only size I could find. (More customer reviews)ETA on July 14: The pump stopped working about 1 month after I got this fountain. I have contacted the seller numerous times, and received only a curt reply. I have even tried ordering a spare pump from the seller at my expense, and have received nothing. This is a great fountain, but buy 1 from a different seller, and buy a back up pump (they are cheap & easy to find if you google or yahoo "solar fountain pump replacement").
Original review:
I love this fountain. So easy to put together. The sounds are so relaxing, & it is such a beautiful color.
2 drawbacks, however, so be forewarned: It only works in sun. Clouds or haze lessen or stop it. It does come with an a/c adapter, but it is only recommended to be used for 4 hours. So this is not something you can move indoors, or run 24/7.
Neither of those things bother me, but I can see them disappointing some people, so I thought I would point them out.

It has multiple settings and you increas or decrease the strength of the water fall by an opening on the next to the return. It can spray 30 ft up in the air. Great to airate your pool keeping it a little cooler; however, the sound of the water fall is refreshing itself (often just sitting on the deck or around the pool is simply relaxing!
