My cat enjoyed drinking from the stream that runs down from the top, once she decided she wasn't scared of it two days after she was introduced. The water seemed to evaporate very quickly, which meant I was filling up the reserve container every other day, which kind of defeats the purpose of me having something that holds large amounts of water. My cat is a longhair so it seemed more hair ended up in it than I would like. Although their is a filter, it wasn't able to filter much. There seemed to always be a slimy top to the water. I have triple filtered water in my house so I know my water is not the issue. I had to pull this thing apart every 4-6 days to clean it out completely & it was a pain. I packed it up & went back to the bowl of water I can clean each day & give it fresh. I will use this again when we go out of town for more than a day but other than that, It is too much work to keep up with it.
