(More customer reviews)When I purchased this item I thought, "what a brilliant idea!". But while it's great to have a water bottle and bowl all in one, this thing is cheaply made and a waste of money. The bowl attachment broke off on the first use. And you really won't want to pour your dog's slobbery, dirty water back into the canteen for a 2nd use. I'm still using this, as it's convenient, but wouldn't recommend to others.

(More customer reviews)i have 5 cats that drink from the foutain. i put ice cubes into the bowl to chill the water and to watch them play with the cubes. at first, changing filters every week or 2 weeks got expensive and adds to the landfill. however, i experimented with opening them up. i lightly squeeze them in a vice. then i split them apart with a small screwdriver. i cut filters from "filter cloth" pads available at fish/pet stores. i replace the charcoal, also from pet stores. (plain charcoal, not mixed with ammonia remover) i rinse as instructed and have had no problems. i change them more frequently now. i used original drinkwell 360 filters. i can make a video showing my process if someone needs help. hope this works for someone else. (More customer reviews)For two years, I used the large Hagen Catit "bubble-dome" water system (that they still make and sell). The pump gave out on it, and when I went to order a new one, I saw this new, smaller version and gave it a try.
My cat was already used to drinking from a dome fountain, so he immediately adjusted to this new model. Although this version holds less water than the old version (64oz vs. 100oz), the water seems to evaporate more slowly, and thus it lasts almost as long between refills (although I live in Arizona, where things evaporate very quickly). The actual pump is exactly the same as the one found in the old model, and it is very quiet (although you can hear a slight "hum").
My only complaint is with the filter. Inside of this device is a circular filter that is supposed to fit snugly against the inside walls. The water comes up from the bottom of the feeder, out the top of the dome, then drips down the sides of the dome and back inside through some holes around the outside edges. The problem is that the filter doesn't quite reach the edges of the feeder, and when the water drips back inside, much of it flows through the small space between the filter and the inside wall of the feeder. I wish the filter was made slightly larger in order to minimize this gap and to make sure that all of the water flows through the filter.

Update: After a brief power outage, I realized one important thing: Unlike many of the other water fountains for pets, if the power goes out, there is NO WATER available for the pet to drink from this model. If you leave for a day or two, or are in an area that may get power outages, be sure to leave out a separate dish of water.

(More customer reviews)My complaint for these brushes is the poor product design, specifically, with the tips of the biggest and the smallest brushes. To clean around all the sharp corners well, it is important for the tips of these brushes to be covered with a lot of bristles. Guess what, the tip of the smallest brush is prety much dominated by the metal wires, so when you try to clean, instead of getting the bristles to touch and rub against the surfaces, it's mostly the metal wires that come into contact. Last time I checked, it's the bristles that clean, not the metal wire. Same with the biggest brush: The way the metal wires wrap around the sponge tip to hold it to the handle prevents the sponge from coming into full contact with the surfaces.
The product designers for the brushes don't deserve to be product designers. Do you know how much it takes to design a simple floor mop? A lot. A good product designer has to think about which yarn absorbs water well, how much water to absorb so the mop won't be hard to wring, what wringing mechanism to use, how long the handle should be, how thick the handle should be, how the mop head comes into contact with the floor, and so forth, in order to maximize ease of use and effectiveness.
The designers of the brushes are a failure. It seems that not much thought went into the design. Yes, we are dealing with just brushes, but even brushes should do the job they are supposed to do well.
