(More customer reviews)I purchased this waterer at the local feed store to avoid having to wait...I returned it promptly. I read the directions about not over tightening. I wanted this one after my metal waterer no longer retained vaccume after a freeze. It is nice and sturdy, however, the water just kept leaking out over the rim. So slowly I tightened it until the leaking stopped. Then I could not get the top off! I had to wait for help and even my husband had a hard time getting it off and he said I over tightened it. So HE did it himself and the same thing happened! So I returned it for a store credit and we were able to fix the metal waterer. I so wish that this would have worked as a top fill is very nice, the other waterers that have to be turned over seem impossible to carry and then flip over. For now we are sticking to the metal waterer...
