(More customer reviews)I put this fountain on a table-top in the foyer of my residence. Although the piece looks heavy, it is actually made of plastic and, thus, does not overburden the table with its weight. As many reviewers noted, the fountain is noisy with a tendency to splash. I took the suggestion from many of the reviewers and bought some river rocks to place in the water reservoirs. One will need to play with the rocks to get the positioning right but once done, it works like a charm. The piece, as is, is rather plain and the "lighting" is dim and only lights up the bottom reservoir, leaving the rest of the fountain rather dark. The lighting worsens if you use the rock idea as it gets obscured by the rocks. To make the fountain more attractive, I purchased some greenery (i.e., fake plants) to adorn the fountain and use tea candles as light enhancements. I, now, get a lot of compliments on the fountain. One other point: It is necessary to ensure the pump is covered in water, otherwise, it will make an annoying humming noise.
