(More customer reviews)The following item I purchased because I wanted running water in an aquarium of hermit crabs. The device is decent when it actually works, which is unfortunately a rarity. Right out of the package, I found that the punp it came with is not quite strong enough to pump water up to the top to go down the waterfall. It took about 30 minutes of tinkering just to get it working. Once I got it working, it worked ok for about a month, then stopped being able to get water up again.
After several months of fighting with it, I am nearing the point of giving up for some more stagnant water choices, I might be able to keep the pump for moving water, but the waterfall idea just doesn't work.
Even when the waterfall does work like it should, it consists of a very light trickle of surface water, this means any animal that wants water pretty much needs to crawl into those cracks in order to reach it. The water bed at the bottom does not really hold any water since most of the water just slides right back through the crack into the unexposed basin that holds the pump. All in all, if it worked, I would probably give it a three or four star.
